Mr. Doekle Terpstra is a member of the board of Unilever. Recently, Mr. Terpstra has opened “a front” against a Dutch politician, Mr. Wilders.
Mr. Terpstra has called Mr. Wilders “an evil, that must be stopped.” In doing so, Mr. Terpstra resonates Dutch left-wing politicians who incited hatred against a right-wing politician named Mr. Fortuyn. As you may know, Mr. Fortuyn was indeed assassinated by a left-wing political activist, who later testified that he had taken the hint from aforementioned left-wing politicians.
Mr. Doekle Terpstra has now followed in these footsteps, and has implicitly called for the assassination of Mr. Wilders
And completely going off the far-left end, Mr. Terpstra has also accused Mr. Wilders of killing people (in Dutch: “mensen over de kling jagen“). This accusation is as bizarre as it is unfounded.
However, I have not heard that Unilever has terminated the board-membership of Mr. Terpstra. Is it therefore safe to assume that Unilever subscribes to the views of Mr. Doekle Terpstra, and more specifically that Unilever subscribes to the call for the assassination of Mr. Wilders?
I am sure that the thousands of people who read our blog on a daily basis, and who frequently buy Unilever products, will be very interested in your reply.
Kindest regards,
